Connected Impervious

Connected impervious is defined in The Ordinance as an “impervious surface that is directly connected to a separate storm sewer or water of the state via an impervious or concentrated flow path”. Please note that grassed swales are considered concentrated flow paths. Generally, sheet flow conditions cannot be maintained more than 100 feet across any surface, including pervious, before becoming concentrated.

For runoff to be considered disconnected, it must meet the criteria presented on the Disconnected Impervious page.
